💳 Pre-payment / Bank Authorization Hold with Driveco

Before starting a charging session, a bank authorization hold (or pre-payment) is automatically requested.

💡 On the Driveco network, the authorization hold varies between €29 and €49, depending on the charging station used.

📌 What is the purpose of this authorization hold?

When starting an EV charging session, it is not possible to determine the final amount in advance. Therefore, a bank authorization hold is required to ensure the customer’s ability to pay for the charging session.

This process temporarily blocks a certain amount of money in favor of the merchant. It guarantees that the customer using the service is financially solvent.

💡 The authorization hold is not a charge. Only the final amount due will be debited from the customer’s account.

🔍 How does it appear on your bank statement?

Depending on your bank, the authorization hold may appear in different ways:

💡 Only the final amount of your charging session will appear as a definitive transaction on your bank interface.
